Eldest, in getting my computer back up to speed, ran a cleaning program over it. Now a lot of stuff is surfacing in the "are you interested in this" feed on YouTube.

It works like a piano without keys. Cool. Not too up-to-speed on dulcimers.

If you are interested, you can search YouTube for "hammered dulcimer" and find quite a few instructional videos and more than a few interesting performance videos.
My "sister of the heart" and her family have booth space at a couple of RenFaires up north. Were it not for the pandemic, they'd have spent last summer and this summer there. Her daughter took up playing the hammered dulcimer.
One of the performance videos is a lady who does her videos outside and clad in medieval garb.
