Hi, still alive and grousing

Just to mention I'm still around.  Got the first of the two shots.  Got the Pfizer.  So far, so good.  No welts, rashes, dizziness, death, etc.  Also got back into crocheting.  Have made one poncho and seven hats so far.  Blame the second-born for showing me all these marvelous new yarns they have out there.  There's an ombre called a 'cake' that has more than a thousand yards with no repeat of color phasing.  There are also cakes with less than a thousand yards but I didn't buy one of those.    How are you doing?

Still above the dirt at this point. Haven't picked up a crochet hook in well over a year now.  I have no idea where we'd go to get vaccinated (still wearing the mask out and about, though). Had to reschedule a specialist appointment recently. Woke up that morning with a sore throat and wasn't going to risk it being something. I think what happened was I snored... like A LOT ... and the air in our room was particularly dry. but, I couldn't drink  my soda for several hours, so "better safe than sorry"...

The last time I crocheted was, I think, back in 2007 or 8 when we did a truncated version of 'Night, Mother' for acting class. I played the mother and crocheted a few stitches until the dialogue got more heated. Before that... I don't know. At least I branched out from giant granny squares masquerading as blankets!

We need some good rain. A couple of weeks ago we had rain and more rain, but then it decided to stop and now it's hot. Like, in the 90sF. I try to sit outside most mornings, but it's getting earlier and earlier. The sun has Vitamin D, a good prevention for diseases. I'm now getting an uneven tan and tons of freckles. Still, earlier and earlier - soon I'll be sitting outside enjoying the moonlight.
